An ancient noble residence in Perdifumo, the Baronial Palace is distinguished by its dovecote tower — a typical structure of the rural landscape since the Middle Ages. These towers were closely tied to feudal systems, which used pigeon breeding for agriculture, hunting, food, or communication (carrier pigeons were used to send messages to other feudal lords in times of war or peace). Today, the Baronial Palace is privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside.
